Object Causes Mass Mental Effects
Mufon Case Number 23268 – This part (23273) was submitted to the MUFON.com ‘Last 20 Reports’ site on May 14, 2010:
“Primary witness was a air force pilot for the majority of his life and has never seen anything like it.
“Spoke to primary witness who witnessed a object at Cape Canaveral Beach {actually a small inland beach on the Indian River, near Cape Canaveral} in 1964 with a date. Described it as a steel ball like a steal barring. It had two rings one horizontal the other vertical. Color of the rings were yellow green fuzzy color. At arms length the object was about the size of a tennis ball.
“He noticed the object due to the silence that occurred at the beach area. Looked up and saw the described object. All the people on the beach area were all silent and starring at the object. The object then took off straight up in seconds. The primary witness then described the reaction of the people on the beach as not alarmed but were described as zombie like and all of them began to walk out of the beach area, get in their cars and leave. Even a vendor attached his cart to his vehicle and calmly got in his vehicle and drove off. Ray and his date followed soon after.”

Incident With NASA Capsule Retrieval Helicopter May 1964
The following report was submitted to MUFON on Jan. 17, 2010:
“In May 1964 My father obtained a job working . . . at the Kennedy Space Center. At the time my family and I were living . . . on the Atlantic Ocean Cocoa Beach. That late evening I went down to the beach and had my binoculars with me just looking over the ocean N. E. and S. to my left or North I could see the Cape Canaveral Pad all lite up for another Gemini missile launch for some future date. I focused my attention to the ocean right in front of me and the Sun was just setting behind th Banana River when I saw a helecoptor about a mile or two of shore out in front of me droping a capsul and practicing retreaving the capsul from the water as one of the neighbors told me it was standard practice.”
“As I watched the stars just start to come out that cold blue sky, the missile pads are well let to the North and Patrick AFB to my right Is lit up as well. I continued to watch the the helecoptor with it running lights on shinging down on the capsule crew below it, when above the helecoptor I saw an increadable fast light what I thought was a star at first or meator like brightness heading straight for the helecptor. It was increadably fast and like a blink of an eye it was over the helecoptor an huge I would say at least a 100 ft and all of this is happning withen 30 minutes between sun set and dark. I just watched with other apartment neighbors on the beach we just stood there stairing.”
“The helecoptor with capsul hanging below it and crew already in the coptor started evesave manuvers away from the bright round object. No one said anything and I thought for sure it was going to crash into the helecoptor because of how close it was and remember I'm watching this through my binoculars. It was fantastic! at least I thought since I was 15 years old. No sooner had the helecoptor started for Cape Canaveral when I looked to my right and saw two jets with full after burners on from Patrick AFB heading for the helecoptor with the bright ball of fire following it. As fast as it took me to turn my attention back to the activity out in front of me, the jets were gaining on the Bright Ball of Fire, and it took off straight up like a flash of lightning and the jets were climbing after it. I was amazed at how fast that fire ball went up and away, it was like the jets were just being toyed with. During the incident some one had gone and called Patrick AFB Military up and as we started to leave the beach and not one person spoke up about what just happened. An MP Vehicles from Patrick AFB pulled up and took statements from everyone who was watching the whole thing. This type of incident happened over the years in Coca Beach many times and just before night launches the ball of fire appeared, all the way up from the Gemini Program to the Saturn one "B" projects. It is something many of us will never forget.”

1964-06-24 - Vero Beach, Florida – predawn - Fifteen or more disc-shaped objects paced a truck driver and his wife. The discs flew along, tipping back and forth. They formed a V formation, then a circular formation. Finally the objects split the formation and passed on either side of a group of trees. (Source: NICAP UFO Investigator, August 1964, p. 1).

We lived in suburban Connecticut, bordered by hundreds of acres of land owned by the Bridgeport Hydraulic Company- there was a large reservoir which I believe was one of the reservoirs supplying water for the greater Brideport area. I was enjoying the night sounds and the cool weather once the sun had set. I noticed something in the sky and looked up to see a very large silent disc (with no lights) moving slowly across the sky not too far above our colonial 2 story home. . . . I kept looking up at the sky when this huge disc moved slowly and silently over our house. By the time my grandmother came out . . . the disc had passed and was 'heading' toward the area where the reservoir was located . . . I have never seen anything else like this and I am now 55 years old. I have never forgotten this image and I often remember the event and am so curious about it...I remember it like it was yesterday although it occurred over 40 years ago!”

“Early in June of 1974 on a Sunday evening approximately 6 pm my mother sent me to the corner store for something, as I was driving back I saw a silver disc high in the sky with the sun refelecting on it. I kept my eyes on it as I slowly weaved down the road the 50 or 60 yards to our driveway and pulled in. The disc was desending and getting closer and closer to me. I jumped out of the car yelling repeatedly for my mother and father to get the camera. Mom heard me yelling and came running out of the house . . . By now the disc was silently hovering about 25 to 35 feet above us. It had green and blue lights flashing on and off around a white center underneath it. On the upper part it had circular windows. After approximately three minutes it silently shot off in a southwesterly direction and disappeared in a matter of seconds. We were shocked and in awe of what we had just witnessed . . . Then on that Friday night . . . It was the middle of the night and we were asleep in our beds when I was awakened by a brilliant blue white light that filled my bedroom. It was as if my window had no curtains. Although I was frightened, I believe I could not move. Then the light began to shift and now it was shining through the front door. . . . As soon as that light was off me I jumped out of bed and ran down the hall to mom and dad's bedroom. . . . Mom was awakened by me and the brilliant blue white light. We were very frightened so I got dad's loaded rifle from under their bed. We huddled together on the bed as we watched the shadows shift as the light now was slowly coming through the side windows. From the livingroom then through the diningroom windows and then the kitchen. With the gun cocked and pointed toward the backdoor, I said to mom that if someone comes through that door I was going to shoot them. Then the light went out and we were in the dark. We were afraid to move for sometime, finally we got our nerves up to peak out the windows and didn't see or hear anything . . . This episode lasted approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Mom and I know the light definitely had something to do with our ufo sighting.”

Police Officers In Dulce, NM Witness 3 Craft Upclose
“Mid {19}80’s . . . Jicarilla Apache Police. . . . Had gone to graveyard shift at midnight w/ another officer and diapatcher. Immediately went to a single females home with the other shift and was informed that a small being was in her house at the foot of the bed with a box shining a laser like red light at her, the other officers knowing it was there shift change left without further investigation. Making fun mind you. She was obviously shaken up and I did notice some electrical malfunctions within her home and her animals, dogs and horses were uneasy. Throughout the night I continued to check on her, once in the early morning I was called to her home, her house was dark and as I entered I could hear her down the hall crying for help. I was informed again of visitors with a light in her home and it seemed strangly quiet. No one to be found in the home or area. In the early morning when the sun comes up when their is light I drove up to the home to make a check I noticed some movement in the brush and trees just west of her home about 15 yards away. I still don't understand what I may have saw, but soon after as I was stepping out of my unit three oval craft in a triangular pattern about the size of a three bedroom home lifted off from behind some juniper trees just 30 yards at the most taking off silently without noise/down drafts, then turn a bright white light and slow went in the direction east towards Chama.NM slowly gain altitude. My other Officer and Dispatcher was witness to this also. Shortly after I heard on the State Police Frequency from Chama about those UFO.s that were being called in to them. I felt completely helpless as a Officer to help someone who asked for help and was unable to assist and protect her in her time of need. It still bothers me today. “

"It was night time and my girlfriend and I were traveling from turnpike({I-}95) on rt. 9 towards my mothers house just north of Myrtle Beach, SC."
{That is a 50 mile stretch of road, from Dillion, SC (home of Pedro’s South of the Border, and Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke) to the coast.}
"We both saw around object with red, blue, white, etc. lights going around object. It then lifted up and zoomed west without a sound. I didn't stop to investigate but know what I saw was not public technology. I have told friends up to this point but figured it is time to record the incident. “ . . .I will never ever forget what I saw Yesterday. It has haunted me with questions all day today. Approx 6 pm yesterday 5/06/2010, I heard a massive airline leave our small airport. I looked up to see a air-bus with a tan front end and a wierd tail on it. This huge plane was coming out of our municiple airport which is only used for small aircraft. I turned toward my front door while looking up. And to the east approx 1500 ft above my home was a cigar shaped UFO floating by between 60 and 70 mph. It obviously was watching and following this air-bus...I pointed at the craft and said look no wings! No sound! ( you could still hear the sound of the air-bus though).

The UFO was approx 60ft to 70 ft long, 8 to 10 ft high and approx 15ft wide, moving at a speed of which any of our aircraft would fall out of the sky. It was metallic gray, glistened in the setting sun as it drifted upward keeping a level profile. From the side appearance, it looked like a disc because of the abrupt downward slope at each end of the craft. I watched as the air-bus made a slight left turn into the clouds and the UFO angled in that direction then vanished. But right before it vanished, I got a glimpse of the rear of the craft and it appeared to have an almost octagon shape ( a wide octagon with rounded points) This I cannot say for sure as it was a ways away. It seemed either to be half cloaked or the energy from it made it seem a bit hazy. The following is the records from the airport. It does not show a large airplane leaving our airport! We live In Rogers Arkansas which is a very small town and also the near home of Walmart. I am positive that the UFO was with this airbus ( maybe aiding it up out of the small airport or ?.

{That airport has a 6000 ft runway. Larger wide-bodied planes require from 8 to 10,000 ft, depending on elevation}

“i was driving back home from doctors appt. in portage,wis.. traveling north on hwy. 16. right outside of the town area limits i noticed something odd in the sky. it was a beautiful sunny and partly cloudy day. taking furter notice of this huge cloud like item. more and more it looked just like a huge disc shape ufo. i noticed what looked like a top and a bottom ring band around its center section. proceeding around it. then i realised that inbetween these bands looked somewhat to be windows. going all around and each seemed to be separated. looked as if it was the same type of metal that those rings around the center were constructed from.it also had a top and bottom to the shape of half a ball.”

"MyFiancee and I were sitting on our front porch enjoying our swing. I stretched my arms over my head as I looked up. I noticed the Big Dipper and an object came into my view covering the Big Dipper. I shouted at my Fiancee to look up. We saw an object moving at a fast rate of speed and move out of our line of sight over the distant tree line.
The object was triangular shaped and dimly glowing a rusty-red color. As a Combat Engineering Officer, I have been trained to estimate size, distance and altitude of a wide variety of objects. I would say the object was anywhere from 100 ft to 1000 ft long depending on altitude. I had no reference point to estimate altitude.
The object flew straight over our heads not making any sounds we could hear disappearing from view over a distant tree line. The time from first sighting to losing sight was about nine seconds.

"MyFiancee and I were sitting on our front porch enjoying our swing. I stretched my arms over my head as I looked up. I noticed the Big Dipper and an object came into my view covering the Big Dipper. I shouted at my Fiancee to look up. We saw an object moving at a fast rate of speed and move out of our line of sight over the distant tree line.
The object was triangular shaped and dimly glowing a rusty-red color. As a Combat Engineering Officer, I have been trained to estimate size, distance and altitude of a wide variety of objects. I would say the object was anywhere from 100 ft to 1000 ft long depending on altitude. I had no reference point to estimate altitude.
The object flew straight over our heads not making any sounds we could hear disappearing from view over a distant tree line. The time from first sighting to losing sight was about nine seconds.

Missing Time On A Navy Ship, Huge Rectangle - Low, Slow, And Silent, Up Close With A Disc
The debunkers are operating on overdrive after the Stephen Hawking documentary 'Into The Universe'. It is unclear if his statements about "possible" alien visitation to Earth were acclimatization or debunking. But as anyone who has looked into this topic knows, an hour with a book like 'Above Top Secret' leaves no doubt that The Government Of The United States Of America has taken this subject very, very seriously for a long time.
The American 'Astronomical Community' can not admit to the overwhelming evidence. On MSNBC on Keith Olbermann's Countdown show, the prominent astronomer Derrick Pitts stated on Monday April 26, 2010 that there was "absolutely no evidence" of technologically advanced alien species visiting Planet Earth. He is flat wrong. I found it odd that Olbermann, certainly no coward in taking on the dark and evils of American politics, played right along with the veiled and unveiled ridicule of the topic of alien visitation of Earth.
The only evidence needed to refute these debunkers are the events of July 1952 in the vicinity of Washington, D.C. Repeated radar and ground and fighter pilot visual evidence of phenomena unexplainable with then current human technology presents a unrefutable series of events proving alien craft were directly over the eastern United States several times in that month.
Here are three more events of a similar nature. The first was reported to MUFON on April 13, 2010. It is clear the reporter of the second report is not a frequent writer. In these reports, all ' . . . ' , {bracketed}, and bold text are my editing.
1951 'Bermuda Triangle' - Atlantic Ocean 'Abduction' of Naval Vessel's Crew, Mass Amnesia
“My father was on a {Canadian} frigate heading back to port in 1951. sometime during a calm and sunny afternoon one area in which they were traveling all of a sudden became very dark and the electrical power on board the ship shorted out and caused total blackness. My dad being hailed to the bridge noticed along with other ship mates six glowing lights in the water on the port {left} side of the ship. He stated the lights were about seven fathoms down {about 13 meters or 39 feet} and the captain also stated that that it could not possibly be coral which is sometimes seen below the surface. the objects were too cylindrical in shape . . . the men seemed to have amnesia during this experience. Now the strangest of all is the fact that not only do they not remember but by the time they where hailed by canadian military port {Nova Scotia} they were approximately 100 miles off due course of where they were supposed to be at the time. They were also 2 days late as they were supposed to be in on a friday and had arrived of sunday..they did not even realize the two day difference//Now that being said they were told never to speak of it to anyone ever by the captain and some officals ,,,,Now my dad is turning 80 soon and still to this day is embedded in his mind and proably those who served with him on this trip returning from the {Bermuda} triangle.....”

1987 Summer Tennessee Very Large Rectangle - Low, Slow, and Silent
“It was the summer of 1987 approxiamtely and I was with my mom and sister visiting a friend of my mothers in Celina Tennessee. It was in the early evening . . . I remember my mom yelling at me to come out of the house, and I was walking across the yard and she was at the road with everyone else. . . . I noticed they were all looking up and as I did I saw this massive ship. I think city block or rather several city blocks would be the description. To give a good idea I use the relevance in size of a aircraft carrier ie 1000 feet long and 20 ~ 30 stories high... except it was one huge block, Dark in complection... black or dark gray and had a millon windows lit up in white lights.. just like looking at city building at night .. perhaps in chicago or any major city. The width was close to the same height or a little less. No noise what so ever emitted from it and the air was not blowing or so light that you couldnt notice it. The object was coming almost directly up the road ie when I walked down to it from the house it was on my left and was going between 1 and 5 mph ... I am guessing but I do remember I could have walked with this it was so slow. It was very close to the tree tops, guessing I would say the trees were a 100 feet and the ship would be half the height of the trees above or less. So 150 feet directly over my head, always thought about throwing a baseball at it... but then again.. was scared at the time if this was so powerful.. it would do what to retaliate possibly lol.
Ok so the object was within site of the house for 10 -15 minutes and it slowly disappeared into the center of the town. Now back to the icecream, I remember the icecream very specifically because 30 min latter we needed salt for it... so we drove 1 - 2 miles down the road or less and stopped at a lil conveince store and the object was just leaving the baseball fields directly overhead where everyone had s topped to watch. There is a newspaper writeup where the army claimed this object was a baloon of some sort.. which is not even realisitc with the design of the object. I am in the navy and have never even seen or heard of anything like this and am trying to simply know if anyone has a copy of the article or knows of how to obtain it.
As far as anything different in myself or my family I don't recount any or have ever seen another UFO again in my life.”

1990-11-17 Texas Smaller Disc Up Close For 2 Minutes
“I got in my deer hunting stand at 5:30AM. The stand is 12 ft off the ground. The vegetation is 7ft high. Visibility of the sky is clear 10 miles to the horizon. When the sky was turning pink in the east just before daylight, I opened the south facing window, and saw a brightly lit object hovering 100 meters off the ground, 400 meters due south. It was the size of a school bus. It had lightning blue lights spinning horizontally around the middle of a disc shaped craft. It was completely silent. After 30 seconds, it shot up 200 meters like a bullet, and stopped dead, like it had hit a wall. It hovered there for a few seconds then shot back down to the same spot it was previously. It stopped there like it had hit a brick wall and hovered. It didn't rock back and forth or drift when it hovered. It didn't move an inch. After another minute of hovering, the spinning lights slowed down and dimmed. The craft then shot off from south of me over the west horizon {to the right}, which was at least 10 miles away. It took about 1 second total. The craft left a brief contrail that I can only compare to a very thin bolt of lightning. The craft changed directions a couple of times before going over the horizon, so the lightning like contrail had a couple of zig-zags in it. To be honest, the contrail could have just been my eyes playing tricks on me. But, the ufo I saw was nothing from this world. From the second I saw it the hair on my neck raised. The light itself was different from any light I had ever seen. It looked liquid and was very bright, but very crisp. It was so quiet out, I could hear field mice nesting in a bush 20 meters away. I was 20 miles from the closest road, and 40 miles from the closest town. This craft made no sound at all. When it bolted off, I should have at least heard a sonic boom as it passed the speed of sound, but I didn't. This was the weirdest, most unexplainable occurance of my 32 year life. I was actually very afraid the whole time I saw it, and have not been back to that spot since. I had a pair of Zeiss binoculars around my neck the whole time I was viewing this thing, and never even thought to use them.”

Silent Triangle Over Western South Carolina

A ‘Letter To The Editor’ in the Aiken, SC local newspaper of Monday April 19, 2010 was entitled ‘Unusual sighting in evening sky’.
Here is most of the text of the letter:
“On Tuesday, April 13, my wife and I were sitting outside on our patio. We normally sit out from late dusk until it is well dark. We watch the stars and an occasional airplane that flies over. However, that night was different.
“About 8:30 I noticed an object directly overhead. For a second, I thought it was a low-flying plane. We quickly realized it was not a plane. This object was shaped like a triangle and had three white lights, one on each point of the triangle. It passed over us making no noise. I called for my teenage son to come out, and all of us stood in awe for the 30 to 45 seconds it took to fade away. It also made a few quick turns before continuing on its original east-to-west direction.
“I have witnessed some strange events in my life but never like this. . . .”
The ‘Aiken Standard’ newspaper publishes 2 or 3 letters a day on average. The first initial and last name on this letter did not stand out to me as either a frequent letter writer or otherwise noteworthy. Using MSN White Pages, my best guess of the viewers’ location would be on the east side of Aiken, about a half mile southwest of the intersection of highways 302 and US-78.
The Aiken Municipal Airport is located some 7 miles north of that location.
This is the first eyewitness account of something unexplainable published in this newspaper in at least 2 years.

150 Yard Rectangle Very Low Over Lower Lake Michigan - May 2005
The following report was submitted to MUFON on April 5, 2010.
It was entitled :

“A group of 3 of us, myself - a manufacturing business owner, my brother a Firefighter/Paramedic, and a family friend were traveling from Saugatuck, MI on a 38' Chris Craft yacht, crossing Lake Michigan on the way to our marina just south of Chicago in Burnham, IL. This was a 15 hour ride . . .“
“The date was, for sure, May 22nd, 2005. That's the only time we ever made this trip.”
“The trip was being made for a single purpose, to move a boat I bought . . . in {the west coast of} Michigan to my local marina. It wasn't a pleasure cruise.”
“ . . . we were about 6 hours into the trip when we were circled by an F4 jet several times at very low altitude. This jet was so close we could clearly see the pilot in the cockpit (about 40 feet over the water). I do not know if this is related to what happened 30 minutes later but we all found it very odd to see an Air Force jet in that area taking a closer look at us. Of all times I've been on the lake I've never seen a fighter jet or anything odd, and I've been out there since 1994.”
{The Wikipedia article on the F-4 Phantom states that this plane was taken out of USAF service in 1996. It remains in service in the Air Forces of several foreign countries. This aircraft seen by the 3 witnesses may have been an Alien craft passing itself off as an F-4.}
“Eventually the jet vanished and was never to be seen again. About 30 minutes later we noticed an odd looking object to our starboard {right} side (we were traveling SSW at the time). This object was nothing any of us had ever seen . . . It was the strangest looking thing. It was completely black and almost looked like a bunch of legos a child threw together, where the long rectangular shape had odd ends like steps but completely uneven. It's very hard to describe. There were no lights, no sounds. Just complete silence. We idled down {brought the speed to stop and put the 2 engines into neutral} and proceeded to the bow {front of the boat} to observe this thing. It was hovering above the water, about 10 feet above the 1' wave caps. It was about 500 feet wide, almost like a large building on it's side floating over the water. We were about 6 blocks to 1 mile away."
"After about 10 minutes of watching this thing it began to move our way, and we were all getting a bit nervous being that we were in deep waters and all alone. Outside of cellular range and poor chances of a good VHF distress call, our feelings were becoming uneasy quickly. . . . I hopped back inside the cabin to take the helm and threw her port & and starboard engines in forward at idle to get ready to start moving out of there. I wanted to know what I was seeing but I was way to{o} nervous to see what would happen if I let it come close. At that moment I myself, along with our family friend and my brother, observed this crazy looking thing move across the water from our starboard side to directly in front of our bow (keeping the same 6 blocks or so away from us and holding the same 10' hover over the water). What really shocked us was the speed of the object. It traveled an estimated 10 nautical miles {11.5 statute miles} in about 2 seconds. There was just a long black streak across the horizon and then it stopped and just sat there in front of us. I dropped the vessel back to neutral and just sat there as we all discussed what the heck was happening. Seconds later it jumped right back to our starboard side where it was before and again just hovered over the water. That was enough, we throttled up and began heading SSW again, constantly observing the object as we moved on. Eventually we lost the object in the distance and never saw it again.”
“We had no cameras, have no photos, but it happened. . . . In June of this year I am returning to the GPS coordinates where this happened, still saved on my GPS. I'll be going back with a couple friends and possibly my brother again if he can make it. My hope is to see this again, although it's been 5 years now, ya never know. This time we're bringing camcorders and cameras.”

2007-08-28 Disc Enters Underground Earth Near Clinton, TN

Occurred on Aug. 28, 2007: "I was at work at hardees near the git n go market and zaxbys on buffalo road in clinton. i was on brake with one of my friends, ther wer werkers remodeling the git n go thay wer putting the roof over the gass pumps whin i noetised thim pointing up in the sky. the object was falling out of the sky at an aingel. it was big, about a hafmile long. it had no wings or fins it came to two points like a cigar. i thought it was a bom but it made no sound. it made no atempt to pull up if it wer a plain. and ther is no landing strip in clinton just hills. it came down behind the krystals sighn back twords the ford dealership. it disapeard into the side of a hill. thear was no exploshen or smoke. i drove to the spot and thear was no trace. me and my fried was in shock it was if the ship wint into the ground. I did not think about ailens until that day. now i believe."
The location above is northeast of Clinton, TN. t is the intersection of TN-61 and Interstate 75.
Regarding Report Number 22024 occurred on 2007-08-28 titled ‘big silver object falling blue sky no sound’
I didn’t witness this or know anyone who did. The person that filed the report on Feb. 27, yesterday, described the object as “big, about a hafmile long” and that it “disapeard into the side of a hill.”
That person has a reason to report this 2 ½ years later. The businesses he references as his workplace then and the landmarks for the object’s downward trajectory are located just to the southwest of the intersection of TN-61 and I-75. This is northeast of Clinton, TN.
Using Google, the drawing included with the report suggests the object came down to the northeast of the above-mentioned intersection. But the person’s description suggest the trajectory was to the northwest of his location – “it came down behind the krystals sighn back twords the ford dealership”.
He also wrote “i was on brake with one of my friends, ther wer werkers remodeling the git n go thay wer putting the roof over the gass pumps whin i noetised thim pointing up in the sky.” That friend and the roofers need to be interviewed. Using the nearby landmarks, a vector of 1 or 2 degrees needs to be established, and the area put under long-term investigation. Any lakes in the vector should be put under electronic surveillance.
How long we will continue to be treated like children on what the D.C. insiders call ‘The Core Story’. Give credit to President Obama for his actions late last year that have and will result in a significantly more open U.S. Federal Government.

Michigan Late 1960's - Disc Illuminated, Large Blueish-White Object, Huge Metal Ball, Blue Light And Possible Abduction
This report was filed with MUFON on Dec. 25, 2009. A 'landing light' from a old prop plane, connected to a car battery, brought a disc to that location. This report shows the US government's interest in such craft in the late 1960's.
This is the report in full, as it was reported on Christmas Day:
"In the summer of 1967 or 1968, my friend Tim and I were sitting in a pickup truck watching for bears in a garbage dump on Werth Road, just outside Alpena Mi. It was 10:00 PM or so when Tim saw a moving light, kind of like a distant star, on the horizon far to the east of us. What surprised us to begin with was it reversed and went backwards then reversed again as if on a string. Tim had a spot light with a DC-10 landing light in it and he flashed it at the dot of light. After a moment, we could see that the object was coming toward us and Tim continued to shine the light at it.
We got out of the pickup and got onto the roof. The object traveled to a point that appeared to be high in the sky directly above us. The object then appeared to be getting bigger and bigger and we realized it was descending. It got to a point where the spotlight was able to reach the bottom of the “craft” which we could now see was saucer shaped.
Earlier in the evening we were outside our cabin on Beaver Lake and used the spot to light up the woods on the other side of the lake. Where we were, the lake is about ¾ of a mile across, so we guessed the “craft” was about 3500 to 4000 feet above us. There was no noise and no downdraft. Suddenly a light emitted from the “craft”, like a spot light but looked florescent, right down on us and only lit up the area of the truck, not the surrounding area.
At that point we jumped down and into the truck and got out of there. We drove a couple miles west to a little known town of Spratt, which had a bar and Laundromat. In the parking lot of the bar was a payphone. We called the Michigan State Police and told them what happened. They told us to wait for a car to respond. We could still see the “craft” hovering over the dump area.
A little while later a DNR vehicle showed up and asked if we were the ones who had an animal complaint. He said there wasn’t an available car in the area so he was sent but they didn’t tell him what it was about. We told him the story and pointed out the “craft” that was still there. He got on the radio and advised what he had and that it was still there. A short while later, the dispatcher advised him that Alpena AFB, Grayling and Travers City said nothing was on radar, as the three of us stood there watching it. He took our information and we all left.
The next morning, a State Trooper knocked on our cabin door and advised us we were to go into Alpena AFB, that they wanted to talk to us.
When we arrived, officers from the Voodoo Witch Fighter Squadron separately interviewed us and were both asked to draw pictures of what we saw.
Several months later we received an in depth questionnaire from Wright Patterson AFB. We both filled them out and returned them and that is the last we ever heard of it."
We got out of the pickup and got onto the roof. The object traveled to a point that appeared to be high in the sky directly above us. The object then appeared to be getting bigger and bigger and we realized it was descending. It got to a point where the spotlight was able to reach the bottom of the “craft” which we could now see was saucer shaped.
Earlier in the evening we were outside our cabin on Beaver Lake and used the spot to light up the woods on the other side of the lake. Where we were, the lake is about ¾ of a mile across, so we guessed the “craft” was about 3500 to 4000 feet above us. There was no noise and no downdraft. Suddenly a light emitted from the “craft”, like a spot light but looked florescent, right down on us and only lit up the area of the truck, not the surrounding area.

1967-04-21 - "While driving home from work in Rapid City, Michigan at 9:00 p.m. C.D. Scott saw a large round, bluish white lighted object descend to land in a wooded area. When he got home he notified the sheriff's office, then drove back to the site with his wife and children and accompanied by a deputy sheriff. While Mrs. Scott and the children waited in the car, Mr. Scott and the officer searched the wooded area, and then became separated. The deputy found nothing, but Mr. Scott came upon the craft. It was resting on small legs in a marshy area. Standing next to it was a medium sized man. Mr. Scott called out "hello" but got no response; he then repeated the greeting and this time received a mental warning, "Get away from here!" "my brother a friend and i, at about 3pm in the afternoon looked up and saw a space ship. it was huge like a big silver metal ball hanging in the air below the clouds (it was sunny with a few low puffy white clouds against a clear blue sky) .it was perhaps three times as long a dc-10 airplane, it had no markings and no seams.
we stood their looking and it knew we saw it.i taped my friend with my left elbow and wispered go get somebody trying not to move my lips but it knew somehow and before my friend could turn around the ship shuttered and moved away at about a 2 o'clock angle at great speed, their was no sound or exhaust."

"I have kept this sighting secret for close to forty years. This was mainly due to fear. I will explain this at the end. At the time of this sighting I was a college student at The University of Toledo. It was a cold, overcast Saturday night in January, 1968 (it did snow later that evening). I was on semester break. I and two of my fraternity brothers were on our way to a camping trip at one of the other brother's parents' cottage located in the Irish Hills of lower Michigan. We were headed up route 223 out of Toledo, Ohio and had just driven through the small town of Rome Center (near Adrian, Michigan). I was sitting in the back seat of the car on the passanger's side when I felt a sensation of light coming from behind me. At first I paid little attention to this thinking it was just bright car lights coming up from behind us. However, after it happened again I paused then turned around to look out the back window of the car to discover that there was no other car on the road behind us. Puzzled, I continued to look out the back window. Then, approximately 500 feet in the clouds, the outline of an oval shaped blue light with a similar beam of blue light came on to engulf the small town which we had just driven through! We were driving up a small incline, so it was very easy to discern the oval shape of the blue beam of light. It was so distinct that I could clearly make out the oval edge of the beam in the darkness of the night (there were NO street lights!) Again, it was the most intense, beautiful blue I have ever seen! But strangely, I could look at the light without squinting. I cannot say enough how I was awe-struck by this beautiful blue light! However, there was a definite on-off pattern to this light. It reminded me of a "gigantic" flash bulb. And, it was huge! I would say that the size of the UFO, when closest to our car, would compare to a pineapple held out at arms length. As I continued watching, the UFO came on again, but, this time directly over the road behind us. It was definitely moving in a SE to NW direction. Why it reminded me of a huge flash bulb is because the blue oval shape in the clouds and the beam of brilliant blue light came on at the same time but then, the beam of light would fade back into the oval shape in the clouds and then go off! If I was a betting man, I would say that this UFO was taking pictures of the area! Now is when things start gettting a little strange. The next time the UFO appears it is directly over our car. I distinctly remember looking up into this light. But, it was no longer blue but instead a very intense white light...I remember that it hurt my eyes! The next thnig I remember is sitting down in the back seat, looking out the front window of the car and hearing the driver say "I'm gettin' the hell out of here!" With this, the driver slammed his foot onto the gas pedal and left the area at a high rate of speed. I caught one last glimpse of the UFO going on again approximately 1,000 yards in the distance. Now, this might seem to be a normal reaction from the driver, but, I NEVER said a thing to anyone in the front seat about what I was observing out the back window. Yes, the driver could have become alarmed observing the UFO through his rear view mirror, but all the while I was watching this UFO, the driver and his front passanger were engaged in conversation. And, how did the UFO move that far away from my vantage point in such a short time? Well, when we arrived at the cottage, all the lights were out and everyone was asleep! By my watch it was past 1:00 a.m. WE WERE NOT THAT FAR FROM THE BROTHERS COTTAGE WHEN I OBSERVED THE UFO...WHY DID IT TAKE US ANOTHER HOUR-AND-A-HALF TO ARRIVE? Also, upon arrival, no one in the car mentioned the UFO. To this day, it has never been discussed among us. Not too long after this my headaches began! They have continued up until this day although they seem to be getting less severe as I age.
What happened to me a few years later made me stay quiet regarding this UFO sighting. I was now a teacher at a local high school in Toledo. Although I lived only a couple of blocks from the school I still drove. One morning I was backing out of the drive-way when I noticed an old-style black Cadillac parked in front of my house. I pulled away from my house and this black Cadillac starts following me...right into the parking lot of the school where I taught! The Cadillac proceeds to pull-up in the parking space right next to mine. Needless to say I was very concerned about who this person was and why they were following me. When I looked over to see who it was, I was met by a pair of icy, glaring eyes. To this day, I will NEVER forget how these eyes starred right through me! He just kept staring at me! I say he because, I think it was a he! He wore a white overcoat with the collar turned up all the way around his neck and mouth with a white brimed hat turned down so all that I could see were his eyes and nose (which appeared to be very thin and narrow). The eyes reminded me of two black coals! The skin of this guy was "whitish!" I stared back at him for a few seconds but then quickly walked into the building where I taught hoping to catch a glimpse of his license number. Mind you, I am constantly keeping the Cadillac in my peripheral vision all the time I am walking to and entering the building. On entering the building there was a door immediately to my left that I entered where the room included windows all along the side facing the parking lot from which I had just exited. It took me less than 5 seconds to get to the window to observe this Cadillac...but it was gone! I do not know how he got out of the parking lot in such a short amount of time without me seeing him! Besides that, other cars were driving in...and this was only a "single" drive way. He would have had to wait for the other cars to pass before he could have driven out! As a side note here, you should know that I was getting ready to put together a complete report of my 1968 sighting prior to this visit from the black Cadillac!
Also, so you know I am not some kind of nut, I hold three degrees including an Industrial Engineering Technology Degree . As a result of what happened that evening, I have been studying the phenomenon of UFO's for years. However, I have never come across a report similar to mine. If one exists out there, I would certainly be interested in reading it. Also, over the years, I have come to the realization that something happened to me that night in 1968. I do not know what. But I have to find out! Thank you.
